Dr. Abdi Abbassi is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist and has been practicing gastroenterology with an emphasis on Hepatology since 1997. He then began his internship at Georgetown department of Medicine at D.C. and continued on to do his residency and a fellowship at University of Florida Shands, where he earned the title of Chief fellow.
Dr. Abbassi is actively affiliated with St. Vincent’s Riverside, St. Vincent’s Southside, St. Vincent’s Clay County, Baptist Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Orange Park Medical Center and U.F. Shands Jacksonville.
Dr. Abbassi is a bilingual, energetic and personable physician. In his free time he enjoys traveling, downhill skiing and spending time with his family which include his three dogs. He also spends a great deal of time continuing his education in gastroenterology.
